Dragon Ball Super is set after the end of Buu saga. There’s a common misconception that it’s taking place after the end of Dragon Ball Z, but that’s not the case. Because Dragon Ball Z’s last episode takes place ten years after the death of Buu as his reincarnation UUB makes his first appearance and fights Goku in the tournament. When Dragon Ball Z ended Akira Toriyama, or even TOEI didn’t have any particular plan of continuing the story further, but due to massive fan demand almost after 20 years the show started again, and since then a lot has happened. Dragon Ball Super took the story to levels far above than ever before. We got introduced to Gods of Destruction, Angels, and even The God of Everything- a character who has power enough to destroy everything that exists. The first two arcs of DBS didn’t quite satisfy the fans that much, but Universe 6 arc was quite a hit, but then the ‘ Future Trunks’ arc was the real deal. We got an evil version of Goku, something the fans fantasized for a long time. Most importantly fan-favorite Future Trunks was the hero of this arc, we got Multi Universal feats and everything combined made it an enormous success. Beating the likes of One Piece on rating, DBS is now making a lot of money. At this exact point in time, it is quite safe to say that Dragon Ball Super won’t end anytime soon. When the show began, there was this idea that it should be finished within the ten years gap. That is before the time of the last episode of DBZ, but the way fans responded it looks like DBS is rightfully going to surpass that ending. The next arc of Dragon Ball Super has already been announced and is scheduled to begin in February. This arc is going to be unreal, in a matter of fact ever since Super declared that there are 12 Universes; Dragon Ball Fanverse expected something like this to happen. I mean we knew that a story would involve all 12 Universe. We already got introduced to Universe 6 and 10. So, it was coming! “ At Goku’s request, the Omni-kings’ “Tournament of Power” martial arts tournament between the universe now begins!! But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. What awaits the victors of the tournament, and the vanquished….?! How will these intense team battles between the elites of each universe turn out??? “ The Universe 7 Team Has also been revealed and has 10 fighters. The new additions to the previous team are- Gohan, Tien, Master Roshi, Krillin, Android 18, and 17! If they don’t rush this arc, this is going to last for a long time. There are 12 Universes meaning there will be around 120 fighters in this tournament. Of course, something crazy might happen, like Omni King might eliminate 2 Universe for some reason even before the tournament starts, but even considering that it’s still a lot of work. Something this big never happened in Dragon Ball before, it’s going to take a lot of effort to draw so many new characters and to animate all these episodes. Also so much has never been at stake before, this time Goku and Company have to fight for the entirety of their existence. Overall, it’s undoubtedly going to be a Grand Arc, and this is why many fans assumed that DBS might end with this arc. Look, if it were truly going to end, TOEI would market it as the last arc because that would grab a lot of fan attention. Clearly, that’s not the case. In fact, we got many hints that Super will continue like Shueisha opened a completely new sector for giving creative ideas for Dragon Ball Super. Then, they mentioned that Saiyans remain at their peak until the age of 80. Why would they throw this information out there? Because they want to keep the opportunity to extend the shows as required; Also they are introducing a new Universe, and you can only expect more stories from all these new Universes. There’s also a matter of common sense we haven’t’ had an official Dragon Ball Super movie yet. So, all those reasons combined I think Super is going to surpass the Ending of Dragon Ball Z and continue with it. Like, I mentioned at the beginning of this article. The English Dub is clearly ignoring the final DBZ episode and when they said previously on DBZ they showed the ending of Buu arc. It’s because DBS will not only go past DBZ’s ending but also might overwrite the original ending. When the DBZ final episode script was being written they didn’t have DBS in mind, and now if you put that into the same continuity that episode does look quite weird. Not only that the last episode limit is something DBS wants to get rid of ASAP. It’s very bothering and kind of hurts the seriousness and uncertainty factory. Because no matter what you know after a period everything is going to be just fine, Goku and everyone else is going to be okay because the ending says so. Also, if they go past the boundary of Z, it would feel like a new material in the real sense and would have an actual impact on the story as a whole. It would simply be more severe as we would see a time beyond what we have already seen. I feel bad for Gohan. It was going to be his biggest success that Cocoa chick was riding him, and you know what was going to happen next. Then outta nowhere appears the biggest Cockblocker in the history of Dragon Ball, Galactic Patrolman Jaco. He shoots Gohan for cheating on his wife and bam. Come on Jaco, why why would u do something so cruel to someone? Comment below if you think Gohan would bang that chick if not for Jaco! You guys must have noticed I haven’t done an Episode 73 review; that’s because the episode didn’t have much going on. The Watagash part was interesting, but Gohan was trying to use Kamehameha on this wannabe Burglar. You mad bro? He would die. I’m not a very big fan of The Saiyyaman, but this episode was actually entertaining. It’s interesting to see them paying attention to Gohan one way or the other. Like, this entire episode was Gohan centric we saw Goku only for one frame in King Kai’s place. This is very rare. The next episode is going to be fun as Watagash infects Barry also Pan will get in trouble. That’s the most interesting thing I am looking forward to seeing. They did highlight Pan’s potential on Episode 43 as she was flying in outer space. So, I am giving a Hell Yeah to a Pan episode. Just a random reminder for you guys, we also get Episode 74-77 spoilers. In episodes 75, Goku will have some fun trying to train with Gohan. Gohan will once again turn into his Saiyyaman form. Then on Dragon Ball Super Episode 76, we will get some classic Dragon Ball vibe as Goku seeks out Krillin for training. Just like the old times, they will go to Master Roshi, and will be sent on a mission to get the ‘Paradise Grass’. Now, for the most interesting part of that episode, Goku and Krillin will fight Frieza, Cell, Buu, and other enemies from the past. It’s not mentioned how It’s probably just an illusion by the paradise grass or may be arranged by Whis or something along that line. Episode 77, has some big news as the episode will finally reveal that Bulma is pregnant and will give birth very soon. It will be interesting to see a nervous Vegeta and how it impacts him as the tournament is knocking the doors. Episode 77 is also going to be the first arc of the ‘ Universal Survival Arc .’
