The most popular girl in town, Kate Wallis seemingly disappeared from the town as she is later found out to be abducted by the new vice-principal Martin Harris. But in the meantime, a nerdy social outcast named Jeanette starts to take over her life as the most popular girl in town. Furthermore, she is now friends with Kate’s friends and also dates her ex-boyfriend Jamie. But a year later when Kate comes back she accuses Jeanette of having known about her abduction and not reporting it to the police. This accusation causes Jeanette to become the most despised person in the country. But instead of simply taking the loss, Jeanette decides to fight back, filing a defamation case against Kate Wallis.

Cruel Summer Season Recap

Now as we go past the eight episodes before Cruel Summer Episode 9, we have learned how it was Kate herself who had decided to stay at Martin’s place. But slowly as Kate was becoming unwilling to leave his home, Kate was missing from the outside world thus designating herself as a missing person. Martin does try to persuade her to leave his place. Nevertheless, Kate tries to procrastinate and eventually starts a romantic relationship with Martin. They both come up with an arrangement where Kate was not allowed to leave his place. But slowly as Kate wanted to connect with the outside world, she started going into a depressive state. One night as Jeanette sneaks in to steal a snow globe, she accidentally drops her necklace that Kate keeps for herself. Meanwhile, Kate herself sneaks out to see if her parents were enjoying their lives. But she finds out that they were grieving her. So, as Kate starts to leave Martin’s place for good, to save his reputation he locks her up in the basement. We go back to 1994, as Kate recollects her months of captivity. While she does remember her relationship with Martin, the therapist tells her how she was only being groomed.

Cruel Summer Season Finale Release Date

Cruel Summer Season Finale is set to be released on 15th June 2021. This episode will be titled “Hostile Warning”. Just like all other Cruel Summer Episodes, the Season Finale will also be released at 10 pm ET / 9 pm CT. You can also be one of the first ones to watch the episode. But unfortunately for fans, this will be the last episode for season 1 and any news regarding a sequel season has still not been announced. Cruel Summer Season Finale Preview

Cruel Summer Season Finale titled “Hostile Warning”, we finally begin to witness the defamation case of Jeanette against Kate. We have seen both the girls previously meddle with Martin. And now it was time for any final secrets to come out. But as the girls are forced to answer the questions, the answers may hurt some people. Initially, the two girls may resort to accusing one another of lying. They both haven’t been completely honest about their side of the story. And revealing a part of it may hurt their agenda. A significant piece of evidence could be the chat history between Ash and Kate in the online chat room. This may conclude that Kate is not to be trusted. So after being pushed against the wall, Kate may accuse Jeanette of stealing her life. Nevertheless, this episode should provide us with some conclusion to the ongoing mystery.
